Here are some photos from my first test roll with the Golden Half Telepathy.  The Superheadz miracle happened again, so I am now a firm believer.  Out of the 36 possible shots, 33 came out.  I'm not going to post all, though, as most of them are either overexposed or underexposed.  I think I got used to the Fat Lens that doesn't need any adjustment in the settings, so I wasn't able to manipulate the simple settings for this baby.  Lesson learned, yeah?

I just love a clear blue sky
I'm pretty obsessed with my new shoes
What? No food in pool? Guess I better find my food elsewhere. ;)

Till the next test roll :)

the Golden Half Telepathy shots by Mac Centeno

Here's my new toy acquisition, a Golden Half!  I've been dreaming of getting one for months now, so when I saw this one, a second-hand but almost new Telepathy Golden Half with a Holga mini flash, I just had to succumb.  First of  all, it was already heavily discounted for something that's been used only once, and second, I just really need a new toy camera to cheer me up. :)

I still need to finish the first test roll. And I also still need to figure out how to use the external flash. ALSO, if the big trip pushes through (no words on this yet; I don't want to jinx it) I will be putting this camera and the Fat Lens to good use. I'm really excited to beat my record for the number of cameras I bring with me on a trip (on my trip to Bangkok, I brought a. Instax b. Zumi c. Disderi Robot Cam and d. a Nikon D40, and yes, I used all of them :P).  This time, I have 3 additional cameras, so the dilemma is whether to bring all 7, or just choose. I'm not a rational travel packer (or whatever), so I might actually end up bringing all of them just to be sure no one (yes, I'm using anthropomorphism on them ; I mean, I NAME them) feels left out. Heh.

Look what came in the post yesterday: it's the Superheadz Fat Lens
Black Slim Devil

I like how unpretentious SuperHeadz cameras are.

I do think I'm officially joining Lomo Matrix, so I needed another 35mm camera.  Yes, I know, any excuse to buy another gadget. :)

My friend at the office, Mac, is a brilliant photographer, and he took the photos for me. Awesome, right?  He made the camera look even prettier.  I'm so excited to test this one out.  I'm just wondering, though. I have an expired (2009) 400ISO film - do you think the saturation will still be the same, or will the expired film have too much of an effect on it?

Yes, it's true.  I just purchased the new Fuji Instax 50S aka Piano from Photojojo

I do not know how I feel about it.  I mean, Polaroid is still my favourite, but I am just too impatient to wait for The Impossible Project's PX-680 film release (some time in May, or so they say -_-).

Oh polaroid, I will still be waiting.

In the meantime, Husband and I will be enjoying this camera for our spring/summer adventures.

These are two of the SEVEN photos (out of 24 shots) that came out successfully from my test filmroll using the Ansco Pix Panorama.  The rest are just too embarrassing to post.  I'm hoping for better luck with my second one.  But based on my experience, it's usually the third (test) roll that's the most successful.

PS: my scanner's kind of dirty. Sorry about that. LOL.

Spring is coming soon, and I am thrilled! My sun-hungry plastic cameras can now come out of hiding and join me on my adventure.  In honor of this, I plan on getting myself a trophy:

As much as I loved Pola and Junior, I miss seeing any sort of colour on my polaroid photos.  At the moment, The Impossible Project (TIP) has not come up with colour films for 600 models; and unless their prices drop, I am not really keen on purchasing a box of colour films on eBay (well... maybe once in a while - I need to indulge sometimes, right? Right.)

So I decided to purchase an SX-70 compatible with TIP's colour shade film!  Hopefully, my photos will be as dreamy as these from TIP's gallery:

I finally gave in.  I bought the Ansco Pix Panorama after pining for it since last year.  I'm hoping to get photos as good as these photos above.  It should arrive today or tomorrow.

What I love about the photos is that, being the frustrated screenwriter that I am, they all look like they could be stills from a film.  Plus, it's 35mm.  I would love to able to use 120mm cameras, but they're just a pain to find, and totally expensive too.

Now I'm going through photos on flickr shot with the Ansco Pix Panorama, and it's getting me all excited.  I notice how good most of the photos are, as they can look dreamy, or clear, or moody, depending on the available light.  And I think I can use it in low-light settings, which I haven't been able to do with the zumi or the disderi, so that gets me excited.  I was just wondering, does anybody else do that to an obsessive level before getting a new camera - browse through flickr for photos taken with said camera?  I do that all the time - and it works both ways: I get super excited about the camera, but then end up really disappointed when my first test rolls do not turn out the way I want.  But I suppose that's part of the deal, right?  It makes triumphs far sweeter, I suppose.

I'll definitely share my first photos after I receive the camera.
